Southern Orthopaedic Association, founded in 1906, a non-profit educational organization with 2000 members, whose purposes are to develop and foster scientific medicine in the specialty of orthopaedic surgery and to provide a forum for the exchange of original, practical, medical and surgical information. 

Clinical Orthopaedic Society, founded in 1912, a non-profit educational organization with 750 members, whose purpose is the creation of an interest and further study of clinical orthopaedic care through continuing medical education activities.

Piedmont Orthopedic Society, founded in 1951, a non-profit, educational, and charitable organization with nearly 500 members working to advance the scope and service of Orthopedic Surgery.
